Administration governing mineral exploration and exploitation

• Map all the public entities in the EU Member States with competences to provide permits and licenses for exploration and extraction or any other public entities involved in the permitting and licensing processes for exploration and exploitation, clearly identifying the role of each of them within the process. For the entities at national and regional levels provide the contact details and for the entities at local level, when existing, describe the type of entity.
  
  
• Describe the role of the different entities in the permitting and licensing procedures for exploration and for exploitation.
  
  
• Assess where similar entities have similar roles in the different Member States and provide an analysis of the differences.
